It offers you a wide range of watersports activities but also something for nature lovers.
 

There are some worth visiting sights in Kętrzyn - gothic castle of the Teutonic Order, now housing the museum with painting and sculpture collections and many objects connected with the history of town and its surroundings.
 

Only a short walk from the castle there is a beautiful gothic church with fragments of defensive walls. In the town center you can visit the freemasons' lodge, neogothic church and the Town Hall from the XIX century.
 

12 kilometres from Kętrzyn in Święta Lipka there is a baroque monastery, one of the most beautiful sights in our region. If you go 6 kilometres farther you will find Reszel, a fascinating example of mediaeval architecture with its beautiful Old Town and castle. "Wolf's lodge" (Wolschanze) - former Hitler's Headquarters during the World War II, where the unsuccessful attempt on his life took place.


On the way to Giżycko you can visit also Masurian Museum in Owczarnia, situated in the middle of the forest. We should not forget to mention that we are very close to the Russian border, only 110 kilometres from Kaliningrad. Other well-known towns such as Mrągowo, Giżycko and Mikołajki are also within a short distance from our place.
